For the Saints Allen is responsible for promoting, marketing, administering statistics, and managing media/public relations for all nine SCCC varsity athletic programs (men’s and women’s basketball, volleyball, men’s and women’s tennis, baseball, softball, cheerleading, and dance.  Allen also serves as the webmaster for the new SCCC athletics website (www.scccsaints.com) and is the chairman for the Saints Booster Club Membership Drive. He is responsible for maintaining the athletics website, all athletic department press releases, statistics, photographs, six annual media guide publications, promotional posters, game notes, home game programs, and media guide credentials of personnel covering all Saints and Lady Saints athletic events.  Another part of his job responsibilities is working with the alumni foundation on campus helping all SCCC/ATS alumni stay connected to the school they once called home.  In the Spring of 2010 he helped organize and run the SCCC/ATS Phoneathon which raised over $30,000 for student scholarships, nearly $10,000 over its goal.  He also writes features and alumni updates  for the alumni newsletter as well as works to keep the alumni webpage updated along with a variety of other things.

In his first year at Seward County in 2008-09, Allen promoted 18 All-Region selections, 20 All-Conference selections, 15 Division 1 signees, 16 KJCCC/NJCAA Players of the Week, and 3 All-Americans.  Also in his first year, all seven Seward County athletic teams were ranked in the NJCAA Top 25 during their respective seasons.

During the summer of 2009 Allen helped coach the Colorado Sox summer baseball team where he guided six former Saints to an 11th place finish at the NBC World Series.  Upon completion of his Sox season, Allen joined the Liberal BeeJays coaching staff and was a part of their 3rd place National finish.   During his two seasons of coaching, Allen has coached eight players that have signed professional baseball contracts.

Last year at Seward County, Allen got the fortune of watching one of the finer all around years in Saints Athletics history.  In 2009-2010 Seward County had 6 of its 7 teams either win the Jayhawk Conference or reach the NJCAA National Tournament.  He helped promote 20 All-Region selections, 26 All-Conference selections, 33 4-year transfers, 35 KJCCC/NJCAA Players of the Week, and 3 All-Americans.  Also for the second straight season, all seven Saints and Lady Saints teams were ranked in the NJCAA Top 25 at some point during the season.

He is originally from Lakewood, Colorado and graduated from Lamar Community College earning an Associate’s Degree before moving on and graduating from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley Colorado, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations and minors in Communications and Economics.  He is currently an active member of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Kansas.
