The Seward County Lady Saints couldn't overcome an off shooting night and 18 offensive rebounds by Labette as the Lady Saints fell in the Region VI Championship game for the second straight season in eerily similar fashion. Seward built an early 4-0 lead but Labette scored the next 15 points of the game and the Lady Saints would never fully recover. Labette would hold the advantage the distance as Seward mounted a late game comeback and had multiple chances to tie the game late but couldn't overcome a 9 point halftime deficit as they fell to the Lady Cardinals 54-49. Rachel Barnes and Nadia Rosario were the only two Lady Saints to reach double figures as Barnes finished with 13 points and Rosario 11 while neither team received an ounce of scoring from their benches as the final bench scoring comparison ended at 0-0. Labette will move on to the NJCAA National Tournament while the Lady Saints magical season comes to a disappointing end at 31-3. At the conclusion of the game three Lady Saints were named to the All-Tournament team including Rachel Barnes, Megan Lassley, and Vaneza Junior.
